Review "Defleshing The Innocent" by Mario's Metalmania Written by Sammy De Maere July 2009 Demolished - Defleshing The Innocent Style: Death Metal Running time: 25:23 (Tracks: 6) Demolished is a fairly new death metal band from Belgium. They formed in 2005 and are now releasing their first album "Defleshing The Innocent". This cd contains 6 songs that one can label as old school death metal with just that bit of extra brutality and I must admit that the concept realy works out great. The old school sound of guitar and vocals always sounds great to me and the musicians are technical enough to make it interesting but aren't playing to technical to make it boring for an old school fan like me. We get pounding drums without the constant blastbeats to support the great riffing and the old schoolish grunt accompanied with the occasional scream. If I have to say anything bad about this album is that it really just is a bit to short. Even though I rather have a short good album than a longer one with the same amount of good songs and some additional fillers 25 minutes just isn't long enough to me, but hey that's why they invented the repeat button right? To all the old school death metallers out there: support your underground and go buy this, you won't regret it ! visit their website: http://www.demolished.be MySpace: http://www.myspace.com/demolishedbe 87/100 http://www.mariosmetalmania.com/CDDVDreviews.html
